Lori Elder Burnett today announced her candidacy for Mayor of Livingston. This follows Mayor Curtis Hayes' decision to retire after nearly two decades of service.

Lori's roots in Livingston run deep. She is a proud 1982 graduate of Livingston Academy and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Memphis. Since 1998, Lori has dedicated herself to the health and wellbeing of Livingston's residents as a Physical Therapist. For more than a decade, she has served in a leadership role at Amedisys Home Health. Lori and her husband, Don, reside in Hidden Valley. They share three adult sons.

Alongside her professional life, Lori has been a pillar of the Livingston community, actively participating in local organizations. Her role on the board and as president-elect of the Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce underline her vision for economic growth.

"Livingston is a special place that helped mold me into who I am," Burnett stated. "Here, I built my life and raised my sons. This community and its people hold a special place in my heart. It's this deep care for our town that drives me to seek the Mayor's office, where I promise to bring a strong work ethic, a listening ear, and a solution-oriented approach to tackle the challenges our residents face."

Lori Elder Burnett stands out as a candidate with exceptional dedication to servant leadership. Centered on enhancing our community, promoting economic growth, and ensuring the well-being of all residents, Lori's campaign promises a new era of leadership that builds upon the solid foundation established by her predecessors.
